You Must See this Movie - "La Vie En Rose"

Marion Cotillard won a Golden Globe tonight. She totally deserved it. This is a fantastic film. Cotillard's acting is sublime. I hope she wins the Oscar too.

When I rented the film, the video clerk asked me if I knew the film was in French! I was insulted, what, a brown man like me can't watch subtitled movies?

Rent this, fantastic.

one more for the list - where do you find the time to watch any of these films - you have more on your plate than I do!
and PS I couldn't find a decent pic of my new gigs and no camera that day to photo, but imagine a 17" monitor and a nearly full sized key board and your close. we are watching al our dvd's in bed on said large screen lately - can't wait to report on what we think!

I agree, it's one of those movies that sticks with you. I'd like to see it again.

The video clerk was correct. The only people with brown skin who are allowed to watch French movies are from Algeria, and they better be watching with the intent of critiquing the Colonial hegemony present in the latent content of the diegetic elements of the film.

Ummmm, that's because you're in Sacramento and people from Sac can't read.
